As a gay wedding photographer in Temple, TX, it’s always an honor to capture love stories that feel intentional and deeply personal — and Luke and Cole’s day at the Hilton Garden Inn ballroom was exactly that.


There were no rushed moments. No stress. Just calm anticipation and joy that carried through the entire day.


From the beginning, I felt completely trusted and supported as a vendor. That kind of environment changes everything. It allows creativity to flow naturally and for genuine moments to unfold without pressure.

Luke and Cole met in college, and their first date was seeing Barbie in theaters. So when they chose a movie theme for their wedding, it wasn’t just aesthetic — it was personal.


Each reception table was named after a different movie, reflecting their shared love of theater and film. Their sweetheart table was, of course, Barbie — the perfect tribute to where it all began.


Their cake was a showstopper: designed like a movie reel featuring images of the two of them, topped with director’s chairs bearing their names. It was playful, creative, and entirely them.

What stood out most was how intentional the entire day felt.


Even when the DJ had everyone on their toes and guests lined up for the 360 photobooth, there was still this underlying sense of peace. It never felt chaotic. Just joyful.


Their families were supportive, loving, and constantly laughing — the kind of environment that makes space for authentic connection.

While the reception was full of movement and excitement, their couples portraits told a quieter story.

Luke and Cole were completely in their element — always smiling, always connected. The goal of the day was simple: show love. Real love. Romantic love. Not just “two guys who look like friends.”


And I truly believe we captured that.
