A Joy-Filled Spring Wedding Full of Love, Family, and Fun

On May 15, 2026, Will and Marcie celebrated their marriage surrounded by their closest family and friends at Vintage Oaks Venue in Axtell, Texas. Their wedding day was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments, country charm, and relaxed celebration—proof that intimate weddings can still be filled with unforgettable memories.

From the warm spring weather to the laughter shared throughout the evening, every part of their day reflected who they are as a couple: genuine, welcoming, and focused on celebrating with the people they love most.

A Beautiful Country-Boho Wedding Design

Will and Marcie chose a country-boho aesthetic that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of Vintage Oaks Venue.

Their wedding design featured:

Pampas grass accents

Soft greenery

Rust-colored florals

Natural textures

Warm, earthy tones

The combination created a romantic atmosphere that felt elegant without being overly formal. Every detail blended seamlessly with the venue's rustic character, creating a timeless look that felt authentic to the couple.

One of my favorite things about their design was how it embraced simplicity while still making a statement. The warm rust florals added beautiful pops of color while the pampas grass and greenery brought softness and texture throughout the day.

An Intimate Ceremony Focused on What Matters Most

The ceremony itself was intimate and heartfelt.

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Will and Marcie exchanged vows in a setting that felt personal and meaningful. There was a sense of calm throughout the ceremony as everyone gathered to witness the beginning of this new chapter in their lives.

One of the things I love most about intimate weddings is the ability to truly connect with every guest present. Every smile, happy tear, and embrace felt significant because everyone there played an important role in the couple's story.

A Reception Full of Fun and Connection

After the ceremony, the celebration continued with a lively reception that perfectly reflected the couple's personalities.

While they incorporated many traditional wedding elements, they also created opportunities for guests to relax, connect, and enjoy themselves throughout the evening.

The atmosphere felt less like a formal event and more like a joyful gathering of family and friends—which is exactly what made it so special.

Outdoor Games and Guest Experiences

One of the highlights of the reception was the outdoor game area.

Guests enjoyed:

Cornhole

Lawn games

Outdoor conversation spaces

Time together under the Texas sky

These activities created natural opportunities for guests of all ages to interact and enjoy the celebration at their own pace.

As a photographer, I love when couples include interactive elements because they often lead to some of the most genuine moments of the day. The laughter, friendly competition, and candid interactions make for photographs that truly capture the spirit of the celebration.
